YouView User Guide Published

The YouView USer Guide is published on the Humax website

Humax have published the YouView User Guide ahead of the launch of the DTR-T1000 in July 2012.

In preparation for the release of the Humax DTR-T1000 (the first YouView box expected to hit the market in July 2012) Humax have published a YouView User Guide on their UK website. The guide doesn”t mention Humax at all, so we expect this to be the guide distributed with all YouView boxes, irrespective of the manufacturer.

The User Guide starts with the basics – how to use the generic remote control, using the TV Guide to browse programs and make recordings, as well as how to use the on-demand content from the likes of BBC iPlayer, ITV Player and more.

Interestingly, there is a section that mentions the additional content provided by your broadband provider. This is where the likes of BT and TalkTalk, who will be offering subsidised YouView boxes with broadband / phone / TV bundles, can differentiate themselves and give something extra to those people taking out a 18-24 month subscription. BT customers will already be used to this kind of content with BT Vision.

If you haven’t already found it, you can view the YouView User Guide .

  2. Sorry Alan, that was my mistake – there was an error with the link. I’ve corrected it and checked it, and the User Guide is there for all to see.

I also believe YouView have now published the same on their website.
